Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 recent years of cath lab experience and ARRT certification at a Level 1 trauma facility.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a Level 1 trauma hospital
• Performs STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart procedures
• Uses Phillips imaging equipment, with new Siemens imaging equipment being added in March
• Documentation completed in Epic
• Hemodynamic monitoring system used is Xper
• Day shift schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week totaling 40 hours

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 recent years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT certification required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians with diagnostic and minor procedures in the cath lab
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and communicates changes in physician orders
• Collaborates with patients and families on care plans and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Compliance documentation must begin immediately upon offer, with candidates booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer
• Background checks and drug screens typically take at least 2 weeks to process and must meet firm deadlines
• Returning workers may only extend their contract once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
