Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an ortho unit role requiring a MA RN license, BSN, and CCM certification.
Details
- Work in the Case Management department, primarily on an ortho unit within an acute hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- BSN required
- CCM certification required
- 3-5 years of RN experience required
- Acute care experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Must pass a Pass/Fail Tele test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
- Must pass a Pass/Fail Medication exam at orientation
- Two references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, and DME ordering
- Follows CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines
- Completes pre-start and orientation modules, with pre-start modules taking approximately 1-2 hours
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
