Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager with BSN and 2+ years of case management/utilization review experience for a day-shift float position in an acute hospital setting.

Details

• Acute hospital setting within a Case Management/Utilization Review department
• Float position covering other units with case management needs
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (Mon-Fri), 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of case management/utilization review experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, utilization review, and medical necessity determination using evidence-based guidelines such as InterQual and Milliman criteria
• Duties may include appeals and denials management, pre-certification and prior authorization reviews, concurrent and retrospective reviews
• Business casual attire required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must meet a 12-month separation requirement before reapplying
