Unit Specifics:

Number of Beds : 115

Patient Ratios : 1:1 (in cath lab)

Unit staffing description: 3 person cath and call teams. 3 FT Tech, 2 FT RN. Staffing is 5-6 staff per day.

Type of equipment : Client xray, Alaris pumps.

Documentation system: Merge Hemo and Meditech

Scheduling requirements: 8 days of weekday call, up to 6 days of weekend call per month. 4x10hr shifts

Floating policy: Radiologic Techs with other modality experience may be required to float to Imaging (IR, XR, CT, MRI). RCIS may float to IR/Specials/endovascular lab. RNs cover Cardiology patients in Non invasive, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine. No floating in the rest of hospital for any staff.

Patient Experience requirements: 2 yrs Cath lab experience, community hospital/mixed IR&Cath lab setting preferred.

Hospital Specifics-

Certifications: RN licensure, ARRT or RCIS.

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: 2 yrs Cath lab experience, community hospital/mixed IR & Cath lab setting preferred.

Must have : Cath Lab experience, both diagnostic and PCIs. Monitor experience (all), Circulating, sedation (RN), Scrubbing (Tech)

Advanced skills needed: IR, Specials, Vascular procedures.

Procedures performed on unit: Left and right heart caths, PCI (Type A,B1, some B2 lesions, NO Type C). Rotablator, CSI, Shockwave, Impella, Getinge IABP, Boston Polaris (FFR and IVUS), Client Illumien FFR.

Certifications Required: RN licensure, ARRT or RCIS.

Dress Code : (Required uniform)

Red top and bottom scrubs OR Black top and Red bottoms. Ceil blue ok.
