Job Requirements

• Current North Carolina RN license
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• 1+ year of experience in psychiatric nursing, behavioral health, or acute care nursing
• Current BLS certification from the AHA
• CPR certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training preferred
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification, or willingness to complete onsite
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with patients experiencing chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for adult patients
• Support patients in crisis with calm, professional, and compassionate care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and carry out safe treatment plans
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Use de-escalation and crisis-prevention techniques to promote a safe care environment
• Provide care for patients with psychiatric, dual diagnosis, and substance use needs
