Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN for a hospital float pool position requiring NC or compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based Inpatient Float Pool ICU position
• Float coverage across Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center ICUs, with occasional stepdown unit assignments
• Patient ratios generally 1:1 to 1:3 depending on unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours each, totaling 36 hours weekly
• Block weekend scheduling available
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required
• BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards within a hospital setting
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process across multiple ICU specialties
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Performs bedside point of care testing as needed
• Participates in patient and family education, discharge planning, and performance improvement activities
• Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director
