TRAVEL REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (ED)

Unit: Emergency Department (ED - Unit 780)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 Weeks (Travel Assignment)

Job Overview

Wesley Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join its fast-paced Level I trauma emergency department. This is an excellent opportunity for travel nurses who thrive in high-acuity environments and are comfortable working independently while delivering exceptional patient care.

Unit Highlights

• 52-bed Emergency Department

• Average Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 3:1

  • Low Acuity: 5:1

  • Pediatrics: Team Nursing

• Modern Alaris infusion pumps

• EMR: MEDITECH / CPN

• Collaborative multidisciplinary team including physicians, mid-level providers, technicians, and unit clerks

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department experience

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS (AHA)

• PALS

• TNCC

• NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC Certification

• MEDITECH experience

• Previous travel nursing experience

• Experience working in large, high-volume emergency departments

Responsibilities

• Rapid patient assessment and triage

• IV insertion and medication administration

• Emergency interventions and critical care

• Procedural sedation assistance

• Pediatric emergency care

• Accurate medication scanning and documentation

• Collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

• Deliver outstanding patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
