Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing and possess the necessary certifications.

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: Yes, includes some nights and weekends
• Holidays: Yes

Unit Information

• Number of Suites: 7
• Average Cases per Day: 18-20
• Ratios: 1:1; 2:1
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
• Weekend Requirement - RN's: No
• Weekend Requirement - CST's: No
• Response Time for Call: 30 minutes
• Common Types of Cases: Laparoscopic, Bariatrics, Ortho, Neuro, Uro, GYN, ENT
• Scrubbing Required - RN's: No, preferred

Qualifications

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) via CCI
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with various surgical procedures in an OR setting
