Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Recent acute-care hospital nursing experience within the past five years required
• Less than one year of experience may be considered for qualified candidates
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or must be obtained within six months, as applicable to the assigned unit
• Med/Surg, telemetry, critical care, or emergency department experience preferred
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds when required by patient-care duties
• Completion of organization-approved workplace violence prevention training by the applicable deadline
• Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and documentation skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, patient status, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and facility policies
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, identify changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and evidence-based nursing practice
• Support a respectful, collaborative, and patient-centered care environment
