Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an IMC/Progressive Care Stepdown position at a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and prior ICU background.
Details
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- 13-week travel contract
- Progressive Care/Stepdown unit with 30 beds
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG (POD 2), acute respiratory failure, AFib with RVR, ALIF, and XLIF
- Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
- Floating required to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, as well as ED holds when applicable
- On-call responsibilities required
- Every other weekend required
- EMR: Medhost
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
- Joint Commission accredited, 171-bed community hospital serving as a regional referral center
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted; 48-hour weeks may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Weekly orientation schedule in place
- Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — near Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
