Labor & Delivery RN – Travel Opportunity

Are you a skilled Labor & Delivery RN ready to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit, patient-focused environment? This is your opportunity to join a compassionate Women’s Care Unit where your expertise truly matters—from labor through postpartum care.


Assignment Details

  • Start Date: April 13, 2026

  • End Date: July 12, 2026

  • Shift: Day Shift (06:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

  • Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12s)

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

  • Call: Not required

  • Float: Not required


Facility Overview

Facility offers a supportive, team-oriented setting with:

  • 4-bed unit (2 LDRs + 2 postpartum rooms)

  • Safe staffing ratios: 2:1 (days & nights)

  • 24/7 hospitalist coverage

  • OB, Pediatrician & Anesthesia on-call

  • Tele-pharmacy support (after hours)

  • Transitioning from Cerner Epic (2026)


Your Role

As an RN in the Women’s Care Unit, you will:

  • Provide care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn (up to 28 days)

  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans

  • Monitor fetal status and respond to emergent situations

  • Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes


Requirements

  • Active California RN License

  • 3–4 years of Labor & Delivery experience (required)

  • Strong labor + postpartum experience

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Certifications:

  • BLS (required)

  • NRP (required)

  • ACLS (preferred)

  • STABLE (preferred)

  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (required within 6 months if not current)


Work Environment

  • Frequent patient handling (lifting, transferring up to 50 lbs)

  • High-alert clinical setting with exposure to blood/body fluids

  • Use of equipment including fetal monitoring (Fetal Link), Pyxis, and EMR systems
