Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) for a PM shift opportunity in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This travel nursing position is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about providing quality patient care, supporting patient safety, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

The selected Travel RN will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, coordinating care, documenting clinical information, and monitoring changes in patient conditions. Candidates should be comfortable working afternoon and evening shifts and adapting to the needs and procedures of a new healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients' health conditions and clinical needs.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient conditions, and promptly report concerns.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and established clinical standards.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient status.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable regulations.

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Current authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
• Ability to provide documentation of nursing education and professional qualifications.

License and Certification Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Minnesota, or a qualifying multistate RN license under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an accepted provider.
• Additional certifications, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), may be required depending on the clinical setting and facility requirements.
• Ability to meet applicable background screening, health screening, and facility onboarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in an appropriate clinical setting.
• Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Flexibility to adapt to new environments, policies, and patient care procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate clinical documentation.
• Ability to work the assigned PM shift and follow the rotating schedule, including every other weekend.

Work Schedule

This position follows a two-week repeating schedule, with all scheduled shifts running from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
