Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid nursing license to practice as an RN in Texas
  • Certifications Requirements: Current CPR certification
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse; IDD experience highly preferred; 6 months RN experience required
  • Other Requirements: Must have valid photo ID, TB documentation, and demonstrate strength and flexibility to perform CPR safely; ability to work rotating shifts and occasional 16-hour shifts; excellent communication skills and adaptability

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care by managing medication administration and treatments, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.
  • Perform and demonstrate strength and flexibility to safely execute CPR and other emergency procedures as needed.
  • Utilize computer systems for data entry, documentation, and electronic health records, receiving full training prior to deployment.
  • Monitor and address patient needs in a long-term care setting, including mental health support and patient education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care tailored to patient requirements, including float to all units as needed.
