Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical – St Johnsbury, VT 05819

Start Date: September 2, 2026

Location: Northeast Kingdom region of Vermont

Schedule: Flex day/night rotation, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week. Two positions available for a 91-day assignment.

Highlights:

• Work in a 25-bed independent critical access hospital with a diverse patient population
• Broad scope of practice including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
• Opportunity to serve as Charge RN and gain valuable critical access hospital experience
• Collaborative and supportive nursing team in a close-knit, community-focused environment
• Located in Vermont's breathtaking Northeast Kingdom with year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and fishing
• Primarily adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric admissions

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required with no exceptions
• Personal transportation necessary due to rural location
• All required credentials must be uploaded at least five business days prior to start date
