Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Tele position requiring 2+ years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed Surgical/GI/Oncology unit (4 North)
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide full SSN and DOB, driver's license copy, 2 references, and skills checklist for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
• Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply affecting pay rate
