Job Title: Travel RN Medical / Surgical
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Deliver routine and complex patient care in a MedSurg unit
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and care needs
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients
- Delegate tasks and make appropriate clinical assignments
- Follow ANA Product and Standards of Practice and Client's competencies
Requirements:
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Preferences:
- Experience in a similar clinical setting
- Ability to work independently and manage complex patient care situations
