Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Nuclear Medicine for a contract position in Sonora, California. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care and technical support in nuclear medicine procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor patients during nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with physicians and nuclear medicine technologists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all procedures accurately, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures, potential risks, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain and operate nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility for CA licensure.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB (RT(NM)) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience with PET imaging is crucial for this role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine nursing preferred.
