Description

American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN with mixed solid tumor, hematologic malignancy, BMT and cellular therapy experience for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

• Rotating shifts on a 3-pod oncology unit with 10-bed pods
• May float to other oncology units as needed
• 1:3 to 1:4 patient staffing ratios
• Cares for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and various solid tumor diagnoses
• Administers cellular therapy products and supports clinical trials
• Uses telemetry monitoring, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter pumps
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
• Experience with oncology patients including solid tumor, hematologic malignancy, BMT, and cellular therapies required
• Experience with telemetry, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scanners, and Baxter pumps required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a specialized oncology unit including cellular therapy administration and clinical trial support
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are accepted at a reduced rate
• Parking at Boston locations is not validated; public transportation or paid public parking is required
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
