Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo-Certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.

Details

  • Work setting is an outpatient oncology infusion clinic (Main Infusion Center)
  • Adult oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions
  • Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
  • Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Administers PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered; may serve as a resource for chemotherapy-related expertise
  • Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Provides chemotherapy-related patient and family education, answers inquiries, and offers guidance as appropriate
  • Conducts post-visit phone triage and coordinates follow-up care and referrals
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
  • Workers who have previously completed an assignment at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply again
  • Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
