Operating Room RN Circulator Educator
Location: Hermiston, Oregon
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts

A respected community hospital in Eastern Oregon is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN Circulator Educator to lead clinical education and elevate perioperative practice across the organization.

This is more than a clinical role—it's an opportunity to shape the future of surgical nursing, mentor staff, and drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes. If you're a seasoned OR nurse with a passion for teaching, simulation, and quality improvement, this role offers both leadership and purpose.


What You’ll Do

Education & Training Leadership

  • Design and deliver engaging education programs for perioperative staff

  • Teach clinical concepts using adult learning principles

  • Lead onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development

Simulation & Clinical Innovation

  • Utilize simulation tools (mannequins, software) to enhance clinical readiness

  • Create realistic learning scenarios that strengthen critical thinking and safety

Collaboration & Program Development

  • Partner with leadership to assess learning needs and build targeted programs

  • Align education initiatives with departmental and organizational goals

  • Collaborate with Quality teams on performance improvement strategies

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs using measurable outcomes

  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical performance and patient care

  • Support organization-wide quality initiatives

Professional Excellence

  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassionate care

  • Maintain strong communication, organization, and professionalism

  • Ensure compliance with ethical and patient confidentiality standards


What You Bring

Education

  • BSN required (or commitment to obtain within 3 years)

  • MSN strongly preferred

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Oregon RN license

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS required

  • CNOR required

Experience

  • 5+ years of hospital nursing experience

  • 3+ years in the Operating Room

  • Prior education, training, or precepting experience preferred

  • Simulation-based training experience strongly preferred

Skills

  • Curriculum development and instructional design

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Highly organized, adaptable, and collaborative
