Job Summary
GSK Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced Pediatric Orthopedic/Spine Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients from infancy through age 18. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric nursing experience with orthopedic, spine, spinal cord injury, and paralysis patients.
Required Qualifications
Active RN license eligible to practice in Pennsylvania.
Strong pediatric nursing experience required.
Significant experience with pediatric orthopedic patients and surgical procedures.
Experience with upper and lower extremity surgeries.
Experience with pediatric spine surgeries.
Experience caring for patients with spinal cord injuries and paralysis.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient-care skills.
Excellent communication and patient/family education skills.
Ability to work day or night shifts based on unit needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric orthopedic and spine patients.
Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient response and safety.
Provide patient and family education and support transitions of care.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe and effective patient care.
Participate in mentoring, precepting, quality improvement, committees, and professional nursing initiatives.
Delegate patient care appropriately based on patient acuity, staff competency, and available resources.
