Professional RN Team Lead

Job Description

The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for overseeing time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization in a healthcare setting. This role includes direct patient care activities such as assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting changes in patient conditions. The RN Team Lead collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team and advocates for patients, ensuring ethical and professional practices within the defined scope of work. Additionally, they promote evidence-based practices (EBP) related to patient care and maintain clinical competence specific to the care area.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in effective communication and thorough documentation in EMR.
• Participate in unit councils and staff meetings.
• Provide patient advocacy and uphold ethical practices.
• Adapt to an LPN Med Cart position as needed and staffing permits.

Schedule

This position is a full-time role, working from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, five evenings a week. Every other weekend and holiday commitment is required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Current certifications and health screenings as per facility requirements, including but not limited to:
• • Pneumococcal Vaccine

  • MMR
  • Hepatitis B
  • TB Test
  • Fit Test
  • Tdap
