Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in one of the following:
Telemetry
Stepdown
Emergency Department (Level III, Level IV, or Critical Access Hospital)
Experience with:
Cardiac monitoring/Telemetry
Stepdown patient care
Emergency nursing
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Stroke and STEMI protocols
High-acuity patient care
Required Licensure & Certifications
Active Missouri RN License (or eligible for Missouri licensure)
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
NIHSS (may be submitted without it but must obtain before start)
Preferred Experience
Trauma experience
Pediatric Emergency experience
High-acuity Emergency Department
Experience in a facility with 200+ patients/day

Job Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to Telemetry, Stepdown, and ED patients
Perform patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to patient condition changes
Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate Epic documentation
Administer medications and treatments safely
Provide patient education and discharge planning
Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and Mercy Service Standards

Elevated bill rate available for candidates who can start 8/10, 8/17, or 8/24
Block scheduling is NOT permitted
Guaranteed hours (36 or 48) and contract length (13 or 26 weeks) must be listed on the submission form
RTO must be submitted with the application
No RTO during the first week of the assignment
Only one holiday RTO request allowed per assignment
Night shift travelers must complete orientation on day shift and be available for the entire orientation week
Local candidates are accepted at $10 below the travel bill rate
Flu vaccination (or Mercy-approved exemption) is required November 1 – April 1
