Exciting Nursing Opportunity in the Operating Room!

Job Description:

• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Complete nursing database and care plan with concise, pertinent information
• Report findings to the physician
• Perform nursing procedures and interventions safely, efficiently, and with technical skill
• Defuse anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage
• Identify patient learning needs and provide education
• Demonstrate appropriate and effective use of delegation
• Utilize information provided in annual training and follow nurse practice act
• Circulate CVOR cases, as well as specialties such as General, GYN, urology, neuro, and ortho

Skills and Experience:

• Hospital experience within the past five (5) years preferred

Education:

• Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Certifications and Licensure:

• Current Kansas Registered Nurse License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Schedule:

• 3 X 12-hour shifts
