Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU experience for a night shift Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics position at a large health system in Indiana.

Details

  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • Floats between multiple system hospitals and campuses
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active Indiana or Compact respiratory therapy license required if applicable
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Current ACLS and BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) certifications required
  • Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience required (2 years total preferred)
  • Respiratory therapy education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • 2 supervisor references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Indiana residents are considered local candidates; local candidates are accepted at a modified pay package for Allied positions
  • Candidates who are current or former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been away for a minimum of 12 months before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
  • Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved automatically
  • Candidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Candidate must confirm in writing their awareness of and comfort with the every other weekend requirement prior to submission
