Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU/ER/Acute Care role requiring an active RRT license and at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience.

Details

• Hospital-based role covering multiple pediatric and acute care areas including PICU, NICU, ER, and Acute Care
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 1900-0730
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating to other units and campuses required based on census needs
• Uses Pyxis and Omnicell medication delivery systems
• Performs neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures including aerosol setups, MDI administration, oxygen therapy, HFNC, trach collar management, and apnea monitoring

Requirements

• Active RRT license required if applicable
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a similar unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with medication administration including Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, and Xopenex
• Skilled in neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including capillary blood gases, bag and mask ventilation, and trach collar use

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across pediatric critical care, emergency department, and general pediatric settings
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting neonatal and pediatric patients
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Pre-assignment testing and required training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
• Local candidates may be accepted depending on facility radius requirements
• Travelers must generally be located more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with reduced eligibility distances for certain night shift RRT positions
