Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU role requiring RRT license, EPIC experience, and the ability to float across PICU, ER, and Acute Care units.

Details

• Hospital-based role within the RRT-NICU unit
• Works across multiple pediatric areas including PICU, NICU, ER, and Acute Care
• 13-week assignment length
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 0700-1930
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating required to other units and campuses as needed based on census
• Uses Pyxis and Omnicell medication delivery systems
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• RRT license required (state license required if applicable)
• National RRT certification required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including oxygen therapy, bag and mask, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and trach collar
• Experience with medication administration including Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, and Xopenex
• Experience with aerosol setup for mask and trach, and metered dose inhaler (MDI) administration
• Capillary blood gases and apnea monitor experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and emergency department settings
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric care team
• Complete pre-assignment testing and required training modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Float to other units or campuses as needed based on facility census, limited to areas of demonstrated competency
