Job Summary:
Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite. The role involves ensuring compliance with Sharp HealthCare practices, policies, and procedures, maintaining regulatory requirements, providing quality care to operating room patients, documenting and communicating important data, and identifying problems to improve department objectives and quality of care.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting
• BLS for HealthCare providers certification

Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of an approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training
• Scrub Tech Certification
• Strong experience in ortho, neuro, and robotics
• Minimum of high school education

Additional Information:
• The role requires compliance with count policies and procedures
• Responsibilities include picking cases following physician preference cards, assisting with dressings and cast applications, and updating surgeon preference cards
• Participation in teaching and submitting recommendations for process improvements or cost containment is encouraged
