**Exciting Opportunity for SICU Registered Nurse (RN)** **Job Description:** - **Position:** RN-ICU - **Unit:** SICU (653) - **Assignment Length:** 13-26 weeks - **Shift Details:** - 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A - Weekend: Rotating - **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 - **Floating Policy:** Required - Inform candidates of the Methodist Floating Policy during the interview. **Required Skills and Experience:** - Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience - Strong critical thinking skills - Current ACLS certification - Current BLS certification - NIH Stroke Certification **Preferred Skills:** - Background in MICU & MSICU - Exposure to IABP and CRRT - Experience with Meditech **Specialty Unit Certifications:** - ACTIVE TX RN License (TEMP LICENSE NOT ACCEPTED) **Procedures Performed On Unit:** - Chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes - Intubations, central lines, art lines - NG Tubes, Foley Catheters, Dressing Changes **Dress Code Requirements:** - **Scrub Color:** Navy scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket - **Nail Policy:** Clean and healthy - **Hair:** Neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors - **Beards, Mustaches, and Sideburns:** Clean and neatly trimmed - **Tattoos:** Body art should be covered whenever possible - **Piercings:** Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Badging in and out for shifts is required - Full 30-minute lunch break is mandatory - Punctuality is essential (Clock in by 6:38 AM/PM; after 6:45 is considered tardy) **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
