Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN SICU - Surgical Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:15–07:15)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-acuity nursing care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
  • Deliver general post-operative care for surgical recovery patients
  • Float to other ICUs and Step-Down Units as required
  • Support transplant recovery patients including liver, heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas cases
  • Manage patients requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
  • Participate in emergency response teams as directed by unit management during declared emergency events

Required Qualifications

  • Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SICU or related ICU specialty
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR
  • AHA-issued certifications required
  • NURSYS report required and must be current within 4 weeks of submission date

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) catheters and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
  • CVICU background including care of post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, and aortic dissection patients
  • Transplant recovery nursing experience
