• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Facility Setting: Mixed ICU / SICU / CVICU environment
• Unit Type: Adult critical care
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Float: May float within scope to stepdown or other units based on facility needs
• Charting System: Epic preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or compact state RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or SICU nursing experience
• Previous experience in a community hospital setting required
• Experience with Level II Trauma patient care required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC and CSC preferred
• Strong critical care skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator care, and medication titration
• Ability to care for complex surgical and medical ICU patients
• Comfortable managing CRRT, multisystem organ failure, and high-acuity postoperative needs
• Must complete all pre-start modules and onboarding requirements before the start date

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill surgical and medical ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac surgery, trauma, neurosurgery, and other complex conditions
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage arterial lines, vasoactive drips, and cardiac infusions
• Administer blood products and support patients requiring ventilator management or CRRT
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated critical care
• Assist with advanced bedside procedures and support high-acuity interventions
• Provide care for patients with sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, acute ventilator needs, and post-code recovery
• Float within scope as needed to support patient care across assigned units
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strong clinical standards in a fast-paced ICU environment
