Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Care for post-operative surgical recovery patients including general surgery cases
• Manage patients requiring Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Pulmonary Artery catheter monitoring
• Support transplant recovery patients including liver, heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas recipients
• Administer and monitor Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Float to other ICUs and Step-Down Units as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in SICU or equivalent high-acuity ICU specialty
• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (AHA certifications required)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Current NURSYS report submitted with profile (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must meet travel compliance distance requirement (non-local travelers only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Pulmonary Artery catheters and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management
• CVICU background including care of post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, and aortic dissection patients
• Experience with transplant recovery nursing care
