Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) night shift position requiring 2 years of SICU experience and active IL RN licensure.

Details

• Surgical ICU (SICU) unit within a regional Level 1 trauma center
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM-7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required, including holiday rotation
• No on-call requirements
• Must be comfortable floating across campuses if needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of submission
• Iowa RN license also required, or proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact license during compliance
• 2 years of SICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with titratable sedation, titratable pressors, titratable insulin, and Heparin required
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team for surgical ICU patients
• Candidates must not have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
