Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings, located in Texas. This position involves implementing treatment plans, teaching activities of daily living, and instructing on adaptive equipment, all within a long-term care environment. The role requires providing educational support to patients and caregivers while maintaining operational tasks related to treatment.

Job Details

Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: 2 years OTA (Occupational Therapist Assistant) experience in a long-term care setting; Texas or compact license; DOR (Department of Rehabilitation) experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior DOR experience.
Additional Information: Candidates will execute specialized therapy plans designed by the OT, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, teach ADL techniques, and instruct on adaptive equipment use. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, documenting changes, and reporting findings to the supervising OT for plan adjustments. Clinical and operational duties include preparing treatment areas, equipment cleaning, and administrative tasks such as scheduling and billing.
