Job Summary: Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) services located in Big Sky, Montana. This role involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing plans of care, and providing health and wellness education to promote patient recovery and safety. Job Details:
Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor Degree, graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program, Montana Licensure (Physical Therapist), American Heart Association BLS, participation in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education.
Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of physical therapy experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Evaluates physical and functional status of patients and establishes & implements appropriate plan of care within the scope of Physical Therapy Practice.
Documents initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment, education, and discharge summaries in compliance with facility policies.
Educates patients, families, and caregivers on pain management, safety, and individualized care strategies, with proper documentation.
Identifies safety issues and follows procedures to ensure safety for patients, families, and staff.
Physical Requirements: Repeated lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, reaching above shoulder level, pushing/pulling, and continuous fine-finger movements, vision, and cognitive skills necessary for task execution.
Additional Information: Facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances. The candidate must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
