Job Summary:

Job Details:

• Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Specialty: Physical Therapist Skilled Nursing Facility
• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Experience and Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of PTA experience
  • Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation experience preferred
  • PTA license required
  • Active State Licensure (Missouri)
• Responsibilities:
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
  • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders under supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Administer procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, amputation support devices, and more
  • Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment minutes according to regulatory and clinical policies in the electronic health record system
  • Participate in meetings such as patient care conferences and facility trainings
  • Support and supervise students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
  • Adhere to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
