Responsibilities
- Provide clinical psychosocial services to patients and their families across all age groups
- Complete psychosocial assessments and identify patient and family needs
- Develop appropriate care plans and provide emotional support
- Coordinate referrals to community resources, healthcare facilities, and support services
- Provide crisis intervention services for patients and families
- Offer bereavement counseling and grief support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Current Social Work license or eligibility according to state requirements
- Recent clinical healthcare social work experience required
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Strong assessment, counseling, communication, and crisis management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Required Certifications / Credentials
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent
