Description

American Traveler is hiring an MFM Sonographer with at least 1 year of MFM experience and 3+ years overall sonography experience for a high-risk OB ultrasound unit.

Details

• Work in a busy high-risk OB ultrasound unit with 6 scanning rooms and one coordinator
• Utilizes brand new Samsung Hera Z20 ultrasound machine
• Perform first trimester scans (NT, early anatomy), detailed second- and third-trimester anatomy surveys, growth and biophysical profiles (BPP), multiple gestation scans, cervical length assessments, placental evaluation/PAS, and Doppler studies (umbilical artery, MCA, ductus venosus)
• Support fetal therapy and invasive procedures such as amniocentesis, CVS, and PUBS (sonographers do not guide or perform these procedures)
• Anatomy scans scheduled for 45 minutes (90 minutes for twins)
• Follow up/NT early anatomy exams scheduled for 30 minutes (60 minutes for twins)
• Day shift schedule from 08:00-16:30
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of sonography experience required
• At least 1 year of MFM (Maternal-Fetal Medicine) experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; some facilities accept Red Cross)
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• Active MA license required at time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions

• Evaluate complex maternal and fetal conditions and identify abnormal findings
• Provide compassionate, sensitive patient care for high-risk pregnancies while explaining procedures within scope
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and complete accurate measurements
• Enter exam data into EMR/PACS systems and ensure studies meet AIUM accreditation standards
• Abnormal results are called to providers promptly with bedside consults performed as needed
• Collaborate closely with MFM physicians, radiologists, nurses, genetic counselors, and support staff in multidisciplinary care coordination
• Local candidates accepted; must reside at least 60 miles from Boston for standard travel rate eligibility
• Two references required for consideration
