Travel Sonographer Location: Boise Salary Range: $58 – $58 per year Position Summary
A leading healthcare organization in Boise is seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Sonographer to join their Maternal Fetal Medicine department on a contract basis. Core Responsibilities
As a Travel Sonographer, you will perform a wide range of obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting detailed ultrasound scans for pregnant patients, including routine prenatal screenings, anatomical surveys, and specialized fetal assessments
Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, ensuring all machinery is properly calibrated and functioning at optimal levels
Documenting findings accurately and thoroughly in patient medical records and imaging systems
Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Communicating examination results clearly and professionally to clinical staff and referring providers
Adhering to all infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations
Maintaining detailed imaging records and ensuring quality control of all ultrasound images
Providing patient education and support during procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting departmental goals
Must-Have Requirements
To succeed in this Travel Sonographer position, you must possess:
Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalent state licensure
Minimum of two years of professional sonography experience, with obstetric ultrasound experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated expertise in performing prenatal and maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound examinations
Strong knowledge of obstetric pathology and fetal anatomy
Excellent technical skills with ultrasound equipment and imaging software
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative with clinical teams
Physical capability to perform standing and repetitive scanning motions throughout shifts
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional standards
Willingness to work within established clinical protocols and guidelines
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification
Important Travel Requirement: Non-local candidates only. You must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for this travel position.
