Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric echocardiography studies, including comprehensive transthoracic exams, bedside assessments, and specialized pediatric protocols
- Operate ultrasound equipment, optimize imaging settings, and ensure image quality for diagnostic interpretation
- Scan independently in critical care environments (NICU/PICU) and collaborate with physicians to support patient care
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and complete EPIC or equivalent EMR entries within required timeframes
- Communicate findings clearly with the care team and participate in family-centered care for pediatric patients
- Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements during all examinations
Requirements
- Active ARDMS or CCI credential in pediatric echocardiography (RDCS-PE or RCS-PE) required
- Minimum of 3 years of independent pediatric echo scanning experience
- AHA BLS certification
- EKG recognition and competency
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Ability to work in pediatric IP, OP, and ICU settings, including NICU/PICU environments
