Job Summary (List Format): Special Education Teacher (2026-27 School Year, Henderson, NC)
- Multiple Openings: Full-time Special Education Teacher roles in middle school (one with exceptional students, three in self-contained classrooms)
- School Year: August 13, 2026 June 3, 2027
- Caseload: 12 students per class (mild to moderate disabilities in self-contained classes)
- Compensation: W-2 pay, $1,875 $2,000 per week based on experience; tax-free stipends for travelers
- Location: Henderson, NC (affordable living, outdoor recreation, historic downtown, near Raleigh)
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in special education (resource/self-contained/1:1/externalizing behaviors)
- Experience with IEPs, lesson planning, collaboration with faculty and parents
- Strong desire to connect with students
- Licensure:
- NC Exceptional Children: General Curriculum license required (reciprocity available for out-of-state licenses)
- Bachelor s degree from a state-accredited educator preparation program
