Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist Profession: Special Procedures Technologist Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: RRT licensure Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Previous Epic EMR experience required within the last 12 months. Description: Operates stationary radiographic equipment in the Heart and Vascular Center. Demonstrates anatomical or physiological structures of the human body for diagnostic purposes. Produces quality images as directed by radiologists and physicians for diagnosis or treatment of anatomic or physiologic disorders. Demonstrates knowledge of general anatomy, technical factors, CR and DR imaging fundamentals. Ensures radiation protection and possesses basic computer skills. Functions to work independently and cooperatively in a teamwork-oriented atmosphere. Provides exceptional patient care and satisfaction skills to all customers. Demonstrates competence in X-ray procedures, fluoroscopy, vascular procedures, and cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsible for special procedures tech duties in the Cath Lab. Call obligation required with a 30-minute response time. Averages around 12 call days to include 2 weekends in a 6-week period.
