Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language pathology services within an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU), with potential float coverage to acute care and outpatient settings
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with diagnoses including stroke, neurological conditions, lower extremity fractures and replacements, TBI, orthopedic, and other complex conditions
  • Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies as part of dysphagia assessment and management
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans accurately within the facility EMR system (Meditech)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license valid in the state of Kansas
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
  • Experience in acute care or acute rehabilitation settings
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience working in an ARU or inpatient rehabilitation environment
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR platform
  • Experience treating patients with neurological, orthopedic, and traumatic brain injury diagnoses
