Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Speech-Language Pathology license required if applicable
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• BLS certification
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with 2-person assist above that weight
• Strong documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat residents with communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow studies
• Develop and modify individualized therapeutic plans of care with functional long- and short-term goals
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care teams, attending relevant team meetings
• Recommend and train residents on communication and swallowing assistive devices
• Provide resident and caregiver education and document responses to teaching
• Maintain required licenses, certifications, and annual compliance training
• Support department cleanliness and infection control procedures
