Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans that improve patients' communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication, swallowing function, and cognitive abilities.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to support continued progress.
Maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility to obtain.
Current BLS/CPR certification (if required by facility).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, skilled nursing, pediatrics, or home health is preferred but not required depending on the position.
Preferred Skills
Experience with dysphagia evaluations and treatment.
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
