Job Overview
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 14-week contract assignment in Franklin, New Hampshire. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
This role requires strong clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and functional communication goals.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing function
Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and strategies
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Ensure compliance with facility policies and clinical standards
Requirements
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New Hampshire required
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Minimum 1 year of SLP experience preferred
Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of rehabilitation documentation and clinical best practices
