Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient (SLP IP) Phoenix, AZ. This position involves providing screening, evaluation, and rehabilitation services for patients with speech and language disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency in an inpatient healthcare setting. The role requires the development and implementation of specialized treatment programs, documentation of patient care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: Days
• Schedule: 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program; current licensure in the state of practice; Certificate of Clinical Competence or documented acceptance in Clinical Fellowship Year; BLS certification required; ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers; strong interpersonal communication skills; proficiency with computer software applications used in patient care environments.
• Additional Information: Position involves providing direct patient care within a typical inpatient environment. The provider must possess physical agility to respond quickly and appropriately to patient needs, including the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers. Effective communication skills and the ability to operate a personal computer are required. Employees working for the organization may need to possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
