Job Details
- Position Description: The Speech Language Pathologist 1 plans and administers speech-language therapy services including evaluation, treatment, and education programs for patients to restore speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Certifications/Degrees/Education/Experience: BLS (AHA only), TX Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license; 1 year of related experience required.
- Location Requirements: Waco, TX.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 0800-1630, with weekend rotation, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Performs clinical evaluations, documents thoroughly and promptly, communicates effectively with patients, families, and medical staff, supervises students and volunteers, and maintains adherence to organizational and regulatory guidelines.
- Preferred Qualifications: Clinical Fellowship Year completion, excellent interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with computer systems and rehabilitation equipment, strong attention to detail, multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be licensed in Texas as a Speech-Language Pathologist and possess BLS certification; they must have at least one year of inpatient experience.
