We are seeking a skilled Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will provide individualized therapy, monitor progress, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team while adapting to different clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, cognition, and communication disorders.
Evaluate and treat dysphagia and swallowing difficulties.
Recommend appropriate communication strategies, adaptive equipment, and assistive devices.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, communication strategies, and safe swallowing practices.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
Adapt quickly to different facilities, workflows, and patient populations.
Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and facility policies.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Excellent communication, clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, SNF, home health, or long-term care settings.
Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental swallowing assessments preferred.
Experience treating stroke, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, and medically complex patients.
Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and interdisciplinary teams.
