JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment in North Adams, Massachusetts. The SLP will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, focusing on communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
This role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy to improve functional communication and swallowing abilities while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide direct therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing setting
Assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders
Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff
Educate patients and families on communication strategies and care plans
Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
REQUIREMENTS
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license (Massachusetts or eligible)
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
Experience in skilled nursing or acute rehab preferred
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to manage a full patient caseload independently
